# ▪️ How can I add my directory server(s)?

This page explains how to set up a connection with your directory server(s) to authenticate, import, and synchronize users from your proprietary user database.

**LearningSpace Experience** supports connection to multiple directory servers at a time.

1. Go to the [**Directory Access Settings**](/doc/9d83c700-dcee-49ee-b148-8c74eaec8580) tab in the [**System**](/doc/be5530d2-d0c0-4f40-aa21-0a3f564330ce)**.**
2. At **LDAP Server Settings**, add one or more directory servers:

   
   1. Click **New**: the drop-down will change to a text field.

   2. Enter the name of your directory server.

   3. Click **Add**.

      The [**LDAP Login**](/doc/84919841-0001-4283-af30-bf8e13b9d62f) and [**Synchronization Settings**](/doc/31cd3bb4-9857-44c9-96b7-6a7c33feb9d8) will become available once a directory server is added.

   4. Repeat the process to add more directory servers:

3. Click **Test LDAP** **Connection** at every directory server before continuing.  
   The system will inform you about a successful or failed connection.

Once your connection is established with the directory server(s):

* Switch on the **Use for login** toggle to continue with [**LDAP Login** **setup**](/doc/84919841-0001-4283-af30-bf8e13b9d62f).
* Switch on the **Use for Sync toggle** to continue with the [**LDAP Synchronization **](/doc/how-can-i-complete-ldap-synchronization-HvkeLjhKYX)setup.
