# ◾ Scheduling an Event within an Activity ![](https://outline-production-attachments.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/uploads/48ddf0a7-308b-4fe9-b28a-e3ce1797eaa8/11399f42-8764-4249-a3aa-b3446570777b/calendar%20tab_ESS_ROOM%20VIEW%20%281%29.PNG?X-Amz-Algorithm=AWS4-HMAC-SHA256&X-Amz-Content-Sha256=UNSIGNED-PAYLOAD&X-Amz-Credential=AKIA4EOUDTOVUICLPZ4P%2F20260909%2Fus-east-1%2Fs3%2Faws4_request&X-Amz-Date=20260909T151500Z&X-Amz-Expires=86400&X-Amz-Signature=da53f741ab7ba10c0f27f4a1216df483ed32cc8eeb2421701de9e7e68ebd53ea&X-Amz-SignedHeaders=host&x-amz-checksum-mode=ENABLED&x-id=GetObject " =x503") :::warning ***IMPORTANT:*** The **Calendar** module is accessible to users with the following roles: * Admin * Facilitator * Scheduler ::: **Scheduling** an event essentially determines *a specific time interval for a group of learners to complete a simulation* as described in detail within a specific SCE. :::warning ***IMPORTANT:*** An event is the actual realization of the Simulation Event phase of the [SCE Scheduling](/doc/sce-scheduling-cuArg44MSm); therefore, the time interval determined in the Calendar has to accommodate the sum of the duration of the stages (Preparation, Briefing, Simulation, Debriefing, Teardown) in the Simulation Event. ::: :::info When scheduling within an Activity, the **events will be linked/grouped**, [and group reports](https://kb.learningspace.elevatehealth.net/doc/scores-tab-K2JYakJHbo#h-group-performance-report) will be available. ::: # Preliminary Setup **User Manager:** The participant groups desired to be scheduled  (including the intended users) must be set up in the [**User Manager**](/doc/user-manager-2Awfo14Cyj)**.** **SCE Management:** The simulation content (the [**SCE**](/doc/sce-design-wSs5C4jY3B) intended for the scenario) is built up in the [**SCE Management**](/doc/sce-management-Q1pfDRDIed), with special attention to the **SCE Scheduling** part of the SCE. :::warning ***IMPORTANT:*** Automatic recording can be set up for a scheduled event's Briefing, Simulation, and Debriefing parts. For the recording to start, the camera icon has to be activated within the **SCE Scheduling** part of the **SCE Management**. ::: # Process Flow **Adding an Activity** 1. If your Activity has not yet been created, click the **Activities** button in the top right corner of the calendar. Type the title of the Activity in the corresponding field. 3. In the selected calendar view, display the day - the **event date**. 2. **Click and drag the cursor** through the time interval you intend to schedule for the event. :::warning ***NOTE:*** When scheduling in **Room** view, ensure the time interval is determined in the line of the desired room. When scheduling in **Day or Week** view, the room can be selected via the ***Room*** drop-down at the top of the pop-up window. When scheduling in **Month** view, double-click on the field for the respective day to open the Edit Event pop-up window. ::: The **Edit Event** pop-up window opens, and all specifications for the event can be given. 3. By default, a newly added event is entitled *"New Event."*  Enter a specific title for your event to avoid confusion and ensure proper distinction. 4. Select the **SCE** intended to be performed. Switch to the **Participants** tab of the pop-up and add the desired participant groups using the corresponding tabs and drop-downs. 6.
