# ◾ Recording on the Fly # Preliminary Setup **System Manager:** The desired [**camera(s)**](/doc/386d43f7-6677-4f47-8df6-85c293c24914) and [**simulator**](/doc/e9cf6d39-d378-4a1c-8f94-4c2bdb00c1a7) must be assigned to a specific [**room**](/doc/b8546ce7-146d-4689-befa-e8c770b88e3d). # Process Flow **Entering the desired SRV via the CO:** 1. Click the intended room panel. 2. Add [**annotations**](/doc/annotations-smqLEzZDqs) in the corresponding panel. 5. Send [**intercom announcements**](/doc/three-way-intercom-cSC64Vh1gB) or push [**content**](/doc/send-to-screen-dPEzWpmeyF) to connected monitors. 6. Click the **Stop** button to end the recording. **Entering the desired SRV via the Dashboard:** 1. Click the **cogwheel** icon in the **Recording** tile on the Dashboard. 2. In the **Start Recording** pop-up window, click the **Room for recording** radio button and select the desired room from the drop-down. 3. Add participant groups via the relevant tab of participants. 4. Click the **Go to Recording** button to enter the SRV of the selected room. 5. Start the recording by clicking the **REC** button. :::tip Adjust the camera feed if necessary. Send **intercom announcements** or push **content** to connected monitors. 8. Click the **Stop** button to end the recording. ## Push-Button Functionality This feature allows a **physical** button (**Push-button**) to be used 1. to **start and stop video recording** for a specific room; 2. to control  **Privacy mode** (turn off camera feeds manually). When **Privacy Mode** is enabled, no one can view the camera feeds from the room, ensuring complete privacy.
