# Workstation Computer Requirements

Computers must meet these requirements to run the  LearningSpace application.

## **Software requirements**

### Supported **Operating systems**

* Microsoft Windows 10 or 11
* macOS (latest two major releases)

### **Supported browser for each OS** (Windows, Mac)

Optimal configurations: 

* ***Google Chrome*** (latest)

Further supported configuration:

* ***Microsoft Edge*** (latest)

On **iPads**, ***__Safari__*** is the only supported browser for  LearningSpace. For more information, visit [**iPad Support - Technical Information**]()**.**

:::warning
***IMPORTANT:*** LearningSpace Intercom requires the web browser to **access the client PC's microphone**, which in turn requires a [**secure HTTPS**]() connection to the LearningSpace server.  
That is, you can **use the client computer's microphone** only with a **valid SSL certificate**. (This restriction stems from the Chrome browser security regulations.)

## **Hardware requirements**

The following are the Elevate Healthcare recommended requirements: 

* **CPU:**
  * Intel Core i5 (12th Gen or equivalent), or
  * Apple Silicon (M1, M2, or newer), or
  * ARM-based processors with performance equivalent to Apple M1 or better (e.g., Snapdragon X Elite)
* **RAM:** 16 GB of Memory
* **Display:** 1920 x 1080p screen resolution
* **Network:** Gigabit Ethernet

We recommend hardware that meets or exceeds these specifications to provide the best video streaming results.

## Bandwidth requirements

Required bandwidth for client computers **to display camera streams and simulator waveforms**:

* for HD, full HD cameras, or simulator waveforms: 2 Mbit/s (Mbps)
* for 4K cameras: 20 Mbit/s (Mbps)
