Workstation Computer Requirements

Computers must meet these requirements to run the  LearningSpace application.

Software requirements

Supported Operating systems

  • Microsoft Windows 11

  • macOS (latest two major releases)

Supported browser for each OS (Windows, Mac)

Optimal configurations:

  • Google Chrome (latest)

Further supported configuration:

  • Microsoft Edge (latest)

On iPads, Safari is the only supported browser for  LearningSpace. For more information, visit iPad Support - Technical Information.

IMPORTANT: LearningSpace Intercom needs the web browser to reach the client PC’s microphone, which depends on a secure HTTPS link to the LearningSpace server. In other words, you can use the microphone only with a valid SSL certificate. This limitation arises from Chrome’s security rules.

Hardware requirements

The following are the Elevate Healthcare minimum requirements:

  • CPU:

    • Intel Core i5 (12th Gen or equivalent), or

    • Apple Silicon (M1, M2, or newer), or

    • ARM-based processors with performance equivalent to Apple M1 or better (e.g., Snapdragon X Elite)

  • RAM: 16 GB of Memory

  • Display: 1920 x 1080p screen resolution

  • Network: Gigabit Ethernet

We recommend hardware that meets or exceeds these specifications to provide the best video streaming results.


Bandwidth requirements

Required bandwidth for client computers to display camera streams and simulator waveforms:

Optimal configurations

From LearningSpace Server to Client computer:

  • for HD, full HD cameras, or simulator waveforms: 2 Mbit/s (Mbps)

  • for 4K cameras: 20 Mbit/s (Mbps)


AV Network Requirements

•    A/V VLAN should be configured as a broadcast domain, with no DHCP service, gateway or connection beyond the VLAN itself

•    Full end-point bandwidth (1 Gbit/s) for all audiovisual and simulation devices

•    Full end-point bandwidth (1 Gbit/s) for all server and storage arrays

•    No IP dictation should be imposed on this VLAN

•    IGMP snooping should not be enabled on the A/V VLAN

•    The AV/ VLAN should allow unfiltered traffic among the connected network equipment and network endpoints
