# Share tab

Adding Activity Managers to the Participant group of an Activity does NOT automatically enable them to edit that Activity.

Provide specific [Activity Managers](/doc/privileges-wnjrx8qPWS) with read and write access or **restrict** their access to *read-only* to **share** an Activity for editing.

**Available Activity Access Options:**

* **'View-only' permission**:  
  Add groups or individual users to the **CAN READ ONLY** field.  
  Any user included here with access to **Activities** can *view* the Activity but *can't edit* it.    
  OR
* **'View-and-edit' permission**:  
  Add groups or individual users to the **CAN READ AND WRITE** field.  
  Any user included here with access to **Activities** can edit the Activity.
