Recommended Barcode and QR Code Scanners

Please refer to the following guides for more information about the Barcode/QR code scanning solutions recommended for the Inventory module.

Choose a recommended wireless hand-held scanning device and/or a mobile application solution to handle Inventory transactions. Our current list of recommended scanning solutions may be extended with additional solutions in time to come.


We recommend the following barcode scanners for our customers:

  1. ScanAvenger AS 8876

  2. Datalogic Magellan 1100i

  3. CipherLab 2500 series

  4. Zebra DS4608

In the Inventory Manager, all QR/barcodes are identified by the #LS prefix. This prefix configuration is needed for Inventory 2.6 and up to support QR-code and barcode scanning.

First, the QR/Bar code reader should be configured to add this prefix when reading a QR/Bar code.

If using a Smartphone Scanner Application,  #LS prefix for the Barcode to PC scanning application MUST be set for the devices to function correctly. See How to Set up the #LS Prefix for your Scanner.

Important: Keyboard Settings

Ensure your keyboard layout is set to US English. Otherwise, QR code and barcode scanning will not work properly inside the Inventory module.
