# License Activation

At the time of publication of this guide, Barcode to PC offers 300 free scans per month from 1 connected smartphone. Purchase one of the available licenses to use more devices and access more scans per month.

After **setting up** the scanner application and **using it** in the **Inventory** module, [**visit the product's pricing page**](https://barcodetopc.com/pricing/) **to learn** more about current subscription plans and select the plan that best suits your training center.

1. Copy the license key from the email you received from *Barcode to the PC* following your purchase.
2. Open the desktop application and click on the menu icon in the top right corner:

3. Select **Activate**.

4. Paste the license key into the **Serial** field and click **Activate**.

5. A dialog informs you about successful license activation.
6. View the details of your plan under the activation field:

   You can always return to this page to check how many scans are left for the month and the monthly reset date.

**Can I Transfer the License to Another Computer?**

The license is tied to the computer where you activate it. You can move a license to another computer by deactivating it.
