# ◾ How to Select Learners for Annotations - Legacy version

To control the Learners associated with a particular annotation:


1. In Single Room View, access the **Annotations panel** for the desired recording or prerecorded video or audio.
2. Ensure the desired Learner appears in the **Record Control panel**.

If no particular learner(s) is (are) selected, all learners will receive the annotation.

:::tip
To de-select a Learner, click the **X** on that name to remove it.

:::


:::warning
***IMPORTANT:*** If the participants are selected before annotations are added, the generated annotations will automatically include all the selected participants.

3\. To add a Learner to an already entered annotation:

* Select and hold the Learner's name on the Record Control panel
* Drag the Learner's name to the list of added annotations
* Release the name onto the desired annotation

4\. To remove a Learner from a specific annotation, select the **X** to the right of the Learner name.
