Many checklist items in LearningSpace are not transcript-evaluable (physical exam maneuvers, observed non-verbal behavior, hand hygiene, equipment use, etc.). Therefore, we must exclude questions that cannot be evaluated from the Video transcript to avoid significantly reducing the subscription's value and confusion from suggestions on non-transcript questions
This “per-question AI exclusion” is a per-item setting on the checklist in the Case Content editor of LearningSpace.
The "Include in AI evaluation" is ON by default. AI can only create a suggestion for the question if this option is turned on for a question.
Note: File upload and Action Sequence question types do not have this option.
No AI suggestion appears during data entry if the “Include in AI evaluation” is turned off for a specific question.
In such cases, the “Excluded from AI evaluation” info appears.

When an item is excluded
The AI skips it entirely — no suggestion generated.
It still counts normally toward scoring and reporting — this removes AI involvement, not the question.
The feature is configurable per item in the checklist editor.
