# ◾ How to Edit a Resource

1. On the [**Resources tab**](/doc/resources-tab-PsyrK9PoZD), click the cogwheel in the **Controls** column for the resource intended to be edited.  
   The **Edit Resources** window appears.

2. Edit the resource by using the **drop-down menus** and **text fields**.
3. Click **Save**.

Click **Close** to close the window if you don't want to save the modification(s).

Changing the [**unit of measure**](/doc/how-to-control-units-of-measure-GP9PZQClIe) for an existing resource could cause **unexpected consequences in reporting**.
