# ◾ How to Configure LDAP Synchronization ## Directory Access Settings Configure LDAP synchronization in [**Directory Access Settings**](/doc/directory-access-settings-S81luUrTCx) in the [**System manager**](/doc/system-manager-ar9EDnlVcL). :::tip Contact your organization’s network administrator or IT professional for the exact details of your directory server. ::: 1. Once your [**connection is established with the directory server(s)**](/doc/22524874-18df-4335-ae94-c071badd6024), switch on the **'Use for Sync'** toggle to continue. 2. Also, provide the query base. ## Mapping 4. At **Mapping**, enter the attributes used on your directory server that correspond with each personal detail field (e.g., first name, email, UCID, etc.). :::warning Only the **Card ID** field is optional.
