# ◾ How to Add Directory Servers to an LS system This page explains how to connect with your directory server(s) to [**authenticate**](/doc/58498701-318e-46bf-88c1-a8404613a7b0), [**import, and synchronize**](/doc/fabe9c7a-5383-46f4-ab86-6fc9c2522623) users from your proprietary user database. :::tip Contact your organization’s network administrator or IT professional for the details of your directory server. ::: :::info **LearningSpace Enterprise** supports connection to multiple directory servers at a time. ::: 1. Go to the [**Directory Access Settings**](/doc/directory-access-settings-S81luUrTCx) tab in the [**System**](/doc/system-manager-ar9EDnlVcL)**.** 2. At **LDAP Server Settings**, add one or more directory servers: 1. As additional security measures, we recommend that the organization’s IT implement outbound firewall rules to prevent the LearningSpace server from initiating connections to unauthorized external ports or addresses. ::: 3. Click **Test LDAP** **Connection** at every directory server before continuing.
