# ◾ How the Case Total Score of a Learner Is Calculated From the scores achieved for each section (**Section scores**) and the weights set when [**creating a section**](/doc/sections-5ToJRGE5sd) according to the importance of each Case section, the system generates a score for each Case: the **Case Total Score**. However, **LearningSpace calculates the following way**, as described further above: **Case total score:** The weighted average of section scores in percentage value. Each section's score is multiplied by its weight and divided by the sum of section weights in the Case.
