On the other hand, the **Scores report** can be forced to switch any percentage score to a natural score. ::: **pi** = collected points of a learner for each item of the section **pmax, i** = maximum achievable points for each item of the section **n** = number of items in the section *__Example:__* A section contains two items. The maximum achievable point for the first is 2, and for the second, it is 1.5. The learner got 1.5 points for his answer to the first and 0.8 for the second. Therefore, the learner's section score is: (1,5+0,8 / 2+1,5) \* 100 = 65,71 % :::warning ***NOTES:*** * The **section score** is calculated from the items for which the achievable points are different from 0. * The **maximum point** for an item is the value of the highest-valued non-bonus answer. For example, if there is a bonus answer with 6 points and another non-bonus one with 4, the maximum points for this item will be only 4. If a question has only bonus-type answers, its maximum points, counted toward the section maximum, will be 0. The maximum achievable points for a section is the sum of the maximum points for items. As a result, a respondent's sum of achieved points may exceed the maximum achievable points. In other words, a learner's section score **can exceed 100% if the section includes a bonus answer.** * If a learner has selected a **not-scored answer, the maximum achievable points for the particular section will not include the maximum points from the question with the selected not-scored** answer. This means the learner does not have to earn as many points to reach the same section score as if he had chosen another answer. ::: # Class Section Average **Section result**s can be calculated not only for a single learner but also for the whole class.
