# Annotations tab ## Annotations section **Annotations** are notes and remarks added at specific moments of the recording. The **Annotations** tab appears on the right side of the Single Room view and is **active only during recording**. :::warning If your layout is different in your Single Room View, you probably have the **Legacy version**. In case we wish to **add a Learner group** to the recording, it can be done in the following ways: [**Scheduled events **](/doc/scheduling-events-ycG8LhTZuv)***-*** the learner group is selected when scheduling the event (Calendar) **Recording on the fly -** the learner group can be added via the [**Recording setup **](/doc/how-to-use-the-recording-setup-pop-up-TyF6YpoyIb)function :::warning If users with the option to annotate during Recording enter the SRV **before Admins (or any users with appropriate privileges) start the recording, the Learners selected for annotation (and data entry) by the Admins afterward** will not be updated on the annotating users' Recording page. Still, the annotations will only apply to the selected Learners. ::: By default, **all learners** in the assigned group are added to an annotation displayed in **blue**.
